to the official website of the West I-10 Fire Department.  Founded in 1979 we have grown from 2 stations to 5 stations and have some of the finest equipment in the fire service.  We are located in Harris County Texas just west of Houston and cover an area of approximately 45 square miles with a population over 85,000 residents.

TVFFRF "Parade of Lights"                        December 15, 2008

The West I-10 Fire Dept was very proud to take part in the 11th annual "Parade of Lights" on Sunday December 14th 2008.  Stations 1 & 3 teamed up to decorate Ladder 3 and Rescue 1.  The dept placed 2nd in the Rescue and Ladder truck category and won Most Lights category.  The West I-10 Fire Dept would like to thank all the people who helped and donated their time for this event.  Here are some pictures from the event.

Cadet Class 02/08 Graduates                         December 11, 2008

The West I-10 Fire Dept would like to welcome cadet firefighters Jason Brown, Patrick Tumilson and Krystal Lewis to the West I-10 family.  All firefighters went to and passed the dept cadet class.  The class was a 14 week course that had classroom studies as well as hands on drills.  A special thanks to Rookie Coordinator Chief Rizo and our Training Officer Dwain Ustynik.  Good Job Class 02/08!
